What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring constituent of industrial hemp (cannabis sativa) plants. It is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis, and is being scientifically investigated for numerous reasons. Most people have heard of the cannabinoid called THC, which is the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis that gets users "high." Unlike THC, CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid and does not cause a high.

Is CBD legal?

Yes, all products we carry are legal in all 50 states of the USA. The United States Farm Bill of 2014 classified Industrial Hemp as containing less than 0.3% THC. Because our brands' CBD products are each derived from industrial hemp and contain less than 0.3% THC, we are allowed by U.S. Federal law to ship directly to your door.

Does AceApe ship internationally?

Currently, AceApe ships only within the United States, but we will be expanding to other countries soon.

How long does it take to receive my purchased item(s)?

At AceApe, a delivery time of 5-10 business days after purchase is standard. Please note that processing your order may take up to 3 business days. Tracking information from the carrier might not be available immediately.

Can I return a product?

Yes! Under certain conditions, we will accept returns. For more information, please see our Returns Policy page.

What’s the difference between CBD from hemp and CBD from marijuana?

Both hemp and marijuana are from the same genus and species (Cannabis Sativa). Having low THC is the only characteristic difference that most rely on to distinguish industrial hemp from marijuana. CBD derived from hemp and marijuana is the exact same compound.

How do I take CBD?

The CBD we offer at AceApe has a few different applications! You can ingest it via oils, capsules, tinctures and edibles orally. Some oils and tinctures can be used as an additive to your favorite drink or meal, while still some other users simply use a dropper to take just a few drops under the tongue. As far as edibles go, you can find snacks, health bars, candies, drink mixes and more to enjoy the benefits of CBD. Other options include active CBD being used topically in creams and rubs, or inhaled as a vape product also. There are still more methods worth a try in addition to those described. Further dosing and usage instructions will come included with your chosen products for your benefit.

Will CBD help my condition?

Due to federal regulations, claims about whether or not natural CBD hemp oil can help with specific ailments are not allowed to be made. We do, however, urge everyone to research the widely available information online. You can easily find a plethora of sources about CBD hemp oil and its possible benefits. For more information, please see our page on CBD.

How do you know how much CBD is in your products?

All manufactured CBD products are lab-tested as soon as the CBD is extracted, and then again by a third-party lab of the manufacturer's choosing to ensure an accurate amount of CBD. In addition, products are tested for over 200 pesticides, herbicides, mold, fungi, heavy metals, and mycotoxins. Our brands use cutting-edge testing and world-class equipment to ensure that each of their products is safe and healthy for use. Please contact us for current lab results on your CBD product.

Is your CBD a whole plant extract, synthetic, or an isolate?

AceApe offers a range of products made using full spectrum CBD extract or CBD isolate. You'll find that our companies each differ between their use of pure CBD isolate, or full spectrum (whole plant extracts that include cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial oils.) Each product listing will clarify whether they have been formulated using full spectrum oil or CBD isolate. AceApe will never sacrifice quality or your safety by carrying synthetic CBD products.

The Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem sought to compare the effectiveness of a completely purified CBD extract versus a full-spectrum extract of cannabis flowers containing large quantities of CBD. The conclusion of the study was that the full spectrum whole plant extract, which contained a large percentage of CBD but also contained traces of the other cannabinoids, proved far more effective than CBD-only solutions in alleviating inflammation and pain sensation. The Hadassah Medical School is responsible for the discovery of this beneficial mechanism between cannabinoids, fittingly titled the entourage effect.

In comparison, purified CBD isolate has its own pros and cons. While it lacks the spectrum of cannabinoids all found naturally in cannabis plants, CBD isolate comes in a powdered form, which is easily measured for more precisely controlled dosage by users who want to create their own CBD products from scratch, or add to existing formulas. CBD isolate is exactly what it sounds like - ALL trace amounts of other cannabinoids, including THC, are completely removed. Because of this, CBD isolate has no taste or odor that will affect the end product it's used in, and has ZERO chance of a false positive drug test. Typically, isolate is used in edible and topical infusions for these reasons but can be found in most all forms CBD products are offered in.

While some prefer knowing that they are getting the full-spectrum benefit of their CBD oil, there are many situations where a CBD isolate infusion would be preferred over a full-spectrum product.

Are there other cannabinoids in these CBD oils?

Some of our CBD oil brands contain high concentrations of CBD along with other beneficial cannabinoids such as CBC, CBG, CBDA, and CBDV. These beneficial cannabinoids are, like CBD, also not psychoactive and are being studied scientifically for a wide variety of health benefits. Cannabinoids work synergistically when combined together in what is known as the entourage effect.

How do you extract the CBD and other cannabinoids from raw plant material?

Green extraction methods that utilize CO2 (which leaves behind no toxins, heavy metals, or chemicals to degrade the product in any way) are typically used. CO2 is safe to use in food products and commonly found in carbonated beverages. Our bodies produce CO2 when we breathe!

Where do you source your hemp from?

Each of the brands that AceApe offers to you produce CBD oils that are extracted from organic hemp plants proudly cultivated on licensed farms across the USA. Every single plant is nourished with pristine water and lots of sunshine, grown the way nature intended and harvested at peak perfection.
